Transfer Driving – Transport to and From Central McGowan Branches (30-40% of tasks)

• Safety drive and transfer: load and unload gas cylinders off tractor trailer unit between various locations including vendors, customers and Central McGowan locations.
• Deliver a full variety of cryogenic and gaseous cylinders to Central McGowan branches.
• Replenish empty customer tanks of all sizes. 
• Follow approved procedures for safe handling and delivery of product (in and outside buildings).
• Operate motor vehicle to transport Hazardous Material and equipment safely.
• Handle emergency situations as they arise professionally and in accordance with appropriate protocol.
• Assist in loading full cylinders for the next route day and secure properly in truck.
• Operate motor vehicle to transport Hazardous Material and equipment safely. Drive carefully and obey all traffic laws
• Handle emergency situations as they arise professionally and in accordance with appropriate protocol.
• Cylinder handling (moving cylinders to and away from the fill racks & manifolds).
• Assisting in loading & unloading trucks &trailers.
• Paint & prep cylinders for filling.
• Cylinder filling procedures.
• Fill Plant Cylinder Scanning (ACM).

 Back up Route Driving – Assigned Route

• Deliver a full variety of cryogenic and gaseous cylinders to customers.
• Replenish empty customer tanks of all sizes.
• Customer tanks may be located indoors or outdoors.
• Follow approved procedures for safe handling and delivery of product.

Fill Plant Support Services Including but not limited to: (70-60% of tasks)

• Cylinder handling (moving cylinders to and away from the fill racks & manifolds).
• Assisting in loading & unloading trucks &trailers.
• Paint & prep cylinders for filling.
• Cylinder filling procedures.
• Fill Plant Cylinder Scanning (ACM).

 Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
• Experience working with high pressure cylinders preferred. 
• Class A license, with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required. 

Job Requirements:

• Must be ablet to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently in the performance of responsibilities.
• Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability.
• Adhere to all proper safety standards and regulations including wearing proper protective equipment and gear as it relates to the job.
• To meet deadlines and support business operations works a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as needed.
• Must possess valid MN driver’s license and be able to do some local travel.
